WP Leader: Emmanuelle Lagendijk (IT, E-mail: emmanuelle.lagendijk@paris.inra.fr)
The Coordinator of the project is Dr. Catherine Feuillet. The coordinator’s primary role is to represent the intermediary between the European Commission and the Consortium as well as to be the promoter and supervisor of the overall technical and scientific progress of TriticeaeGenome.
Daily management work and handling of the project logistics is carried out by Emmanuelle Lagendijk, European Project Manager at INRA-Transfert.
WP7 is the co-ordination and management of the project. This WP contributes to the timely start of the project, ensures good practice in resources management, guarantees financial good practice at the managerial level, seeks for final agreement of all Beneficiaries with regard to the management of resources, and will lead to easy conduct and closure of the relevant project accounts in the participating organisations. It also fosters the legal involvement of the participants and participating organisations, enables legal decision-making, and ensures the contractual and legal ending of the project.
During the first year, 7 Deliverables have been submitted to the EC and 10 Milestones have been reached. Different meetings have been organized by the Project Manager: the kick-off meeting at INRA Clermont-Ferrand (11-12-13 June 2008), the 1st annual meeting at IPK Gatersleben (22-23-24 April 2009), and 2 Executive Committee meetings respectively in Clermont-Ferrand (11 June 2008) and in San Diego (12 January 2009, during the PAG XVII meeting). The Project Manager with the help of the Coordinator has monitored the project costs, followup of EC payment (prefinancing) and distribution to Beneficiaries. Furthermore, all Beneficiaries are assisted by day-to-day administrative and financial issues. The Project Manager have setup the TriticeaeGenome Collaborative platform which is a secured place on the Web where TriticeaeGenome partners can share and store information, to enable collaboration between them and disseminate results. The interaction with the Triticeae Genomics Network (TGN) partners is well developed and selected results of the project are exchanged regularly. The coordinator also attended a twinning workshop organised by the EC and the Argentinean ministry of Science and Technology in Buenos Aires in May 2009 to discuss potential collaboration between TriticeaeGenome and WheatBiotech projects.
